Yoga Sequences

Here are some Yoga sequences that I have taught and really like. Take and use in your class if you like, or practice them at home.

Flow sequence
Nature Meditation to begin (see Meditation page)
Cat/cow to Half Dog – organic flow
Child’s pose
Table to Fire Hydrant on each side reach back grab foot (several times on each side) with the breath
Down Dog – roll top of foot to stretch then wrist stretches in Down Dog
Flow to Low Lunge (meaning vinyasa)
Pull back leg for quad stretch
Vinyasa to Crescent lunge
Then flow through Warrior I, II, and Reverse, Side Angle – drop head for a neck stretch, Triangle – drop head for neck stretch, etc.
Side Plank flow to Chaturanga and back or to Gate and back (3 times on each side)
Child’s pose – rest
Standing Splits – to Half Moon, then grab lifted foot and float to Dancer’s pose
Malansa – flow (arm up, other arm down – follow breath)
Yin poses to close -
Half Butterfly on each side
Saddle
Reclining Twist
Savasana
